Skeletron Jungle Wolf Trooper Review

promotonialshot 6in junglewolftrooper eddiemerriken

The Skeletron Jungle Wolf Trooper immediately stands out as one of the strongest camo-themed releases of the year. Following the excellent Phantom Corps Trooper from earlier a few months back, this figure continues the trend of sharp, military-inspired designs that lean futuristic without feeling exaggerated or cartoonish. Its textured sculpt, clean camouflage, and grounded tactical elements give it a distinct presence that fits seamlessly alongside modern 1/12 military lines. As an introduction to the Skeletron lineup, this trooper sets the bar impressively high.

Accessories

The Jungle Wolf Trooper comes well-equipped with a mix of futuristic weapons and modular gear:

  • Skeletron base
  • Backpack with multiple ports (the plastic is a bit rigid)
  • Two green forearm claw blades, which can also clip onto the jetpack
  • Two grenades / power packs that peg into the belt
  • Futuristic rifle with two magazines and a port for blast effects
  • Translucent orange-red blast effect
  • Futuristic pistol with a blast-effect port
  • Wolf Trooper helmet in jungle deco with glossy red eyes
  • Multiple interchangeable hands: trigger hands, fists, and open gripping hands

It’s an excellent spread that offers variety without feeling bloated, and the accessories complement the figure’s aesthetic extremely well.

Figure Details and Articulation

The camo pattern is the standout feature here—clean, sharp, and layered over a textured uniform with plate carrier, gauntlets, and knee pads. The sculpting has a grounded, modern military feel, but is elevated by yellow accents and subtle futuristic design cues that give it a unique identity.

Articulation is robust and fluid, including:

  • Full head range
  • Butterfly joints
  • Bicep swivel
  • Double-jointed pinless elbows and knees
  • Forearm and wrist rotation
  • Diaphragm cut and waist ball joint
  • Drop-down hips and full splits
  • Thigh and boot cut
  • Smooth ankle rockers

The chest armor detaches cleanly, and the helmet fits securely over the balaclava-style head. The figure handles aiming poses, running stances, crouches, and kneeling positions with ease.

Final Thoughts

The Jungle Wolf Trooper delivers on just about every level. The camo looks fantastic, the accessories are smartly designed, and the sculpt/engineering strike a great balance between realistic and futuristic. The only thing that would have pushed it further is an extra head sculpt—something many modern lines have conditioned us to expect—but its absence is far from a deal breaker.

As a first experience with the Skeletron line, this figure leaves a very strong impression. If future releases maintain this level of quality, I’ll definitely be adding more to the collection. This is a sharp, stylish, and highly poseable troop builder that fits beautifully into any modern military or sci-fi display.
